What you'll be doing

• Program 3-axis CNC equipment and CNC routers for a variety of part construction and geometry
• Select cutting tools, tool paths, cutting speeds and feed rates for each job
• Assist in training CNC operators and work with them to validate NC programs
• Plan machining by studying work orders, production paperwork, materials, specifications, dimensions and tolerances
• Set zero and reference points, tool registers and offsets, and prove out part programs using math, geometry and trigonometry
• Verify part accuracy through the shop's inspection process and in-process measurement with tape measures and micrometers
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, adjust and reprogram controls, sharpen and replace worn tools, and complete preventive maintenance
• Document and communicate actions, irregularities and needs to maintain continuity between shifts

What we're looking forRequired

• CAD drawing experience
• CNC router experience
• Strong math skills (basic math, geometry, trigonometry) to calculate program requirements
• Experience with Microsoft Office
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Follows all safety procedures
• High level of honesty and integrity
• Must be 18 years or older
• Must pass a background investigation and drug test as part of the selection process
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S.

Preferred

• High School Diploma or GED
